Bisleri International has partnered with EcoLine Clothing to recycle used PET bottles into sustainable fashion and lifestyle products, marking a significant step forward in India’s circular economy and efforts to manage plastic waste.

The collaboration, formalized through a memorandum of understanding signed at Bisleri’s Mumbai headquarters, will use PET bottles collected via Bisleri’s “Bottles For Change” initiative.

Circular Collaboration

According to a statement, these bottles will be processed using EcoLine’s advanced bottle-to-fabric technology to produce jackets, uniforms, bags and other apparel made from recycled PET textiles.

EcoLine, the sustainable flagship brand of Shree Renga Polyester Pvt. Ltd., utilizes dyeing techniques such as dope dyeing and nanotechnology to enhance the durability and sustainability of its fabrics.

The model has already been applied in previous collaborations with the Indian Army in Siachen and the Royal Government of Bhutan.

“Plastic pollution is one of the most pressing environmental issues India faces today,” said Angelo George, CEO of Bisleri International, in the statement. “Managing plastic waste is not just an environmental responsibility but also an economic opportunity. Together, we are not just recycling PET bottles—we are reimagining their potential.”

Reimagining Plastic

The agreement was signed by George and Sankar K, Chairman of Shree Renga Polyester, in the presence of Bisleri’s head of sustainability and CSR K. Ganesh and Senthil Sankar, managing director of Shree Renga Polyester and co-founder of EcoLine Clothing.

“This collaboration is a powerful example of how two mission-driven organizations can create environmental and social impact at scale,” said Sankar. “With Bisleri’s nationwide collection network and our vertical integration, we’re excited to close the loop on plastic waste.”

The partnership also plans to roll out consumer awareness programs, green fashion campaigns and transparent reporting on environmental outcomes.

Both companies called the alliance a step toward a circular and climate-conscious future, with an emphasis on ESG collaboration in India.
