Sustainability leaders, policymakers and innovators gathered in Dubai on Wednesday for Trescon’s CARE Dialogues, a series of discussions on renewable energy, sustainable mobility and cross-sector energy transformation ahead of the upcoming CARE MENA summit in November.

Hosted by Supercool Mobility, Charging Interface Initiative and the Global Education Energy Environment Organisation, the Dialogues examined sustainability policies, financing mechanisms and scalable solutions.

Conversations highlighted circular energy systems, from generation and storage to intelligent reuse, and the transition to sustainable mobility.

Neutral Fuels, a UAE-based biodiesel company, showcased how it converts recycled cooking oil into fuel to cut emissions.

“By turning local waste cooking oil into biodiesel, we cut emissions and power the UAE’s fleets, locomotives, power generators and more,” said Charles Gardner, chief operations officer, Neutral Fuels.

Shaping the CARE MENA Agenda

The Dialogues form part of Trescon’s global CARE series, which convenes stakeholders across government, industry, academia and climate technology start-ups.

Trescon Group CEO Naveen Bhardwaj said the initiative is designed to make climate action more collaborative and outcome-driven.

“Driving climate action and making sustainability consciously happen is a collective responsibility,” Bhardwaj said, in a statement. “Focused group discussions during our Dialogues give the sustainability community an opportunity to help shape the main event’s agenda.”

CARE MENA, scheduled for Nov. 26-27 at Dubai’s Madinat Jumeirah, will expand on these discussions and showcase projects in ESG and sustainability.
